If I post quickly, I'll get this in before midnight my time.

I finished up the service (except the prayers of the people) relatively quickly and am pleased with my choices.

Then I went to work on the sermon. It it almost midnight and I'm still not happy with it. I feel that stuff should be cut but it times out about right. I think I've getting less verbose in my writing, something that is likely to make me really popular as a preacher around here (10 minute sermons are the goal in our denomination.) I'm learning to focus in and say what I mean to say.

This sermon kind of has a split theme to it (I'm showing how it was relevant when it was first spoken and is still relevant today) and I'm not sure that makes the sermon stronger.

Gotta run, strange noise outside, some animal I'm not familiar with.
